ROCK HILL, S.C. – Catawba guard Ace Carter has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week one of the 2020-21 season. It was announced by the conference on Monday.
Carter, a senior from Philadelphia, Pa., led the Catawba Indians to a 90-78 season-opening win over Anderson on Saturday. He knocked down 19 points with seven rebounds, scoring 13 points in the second half, while adding three blocks, two steals, and an assist to his stat line. Carter shot 58.3 percent from the field (7-for-12), including 50 percent from beyond the arc (3-for-6) for the game.
This is Carter’s first player of the week selection this season.
