Field set for 2020 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The field for the 2020 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship was officially unveiled after the conclusion of the conference regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020.

The 2020 Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will officially start on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 with higher seeded institutions hosting quarterfinal matchups for the right to advance to the semifinals at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, March 7, 2020. The championship games of the 2020 Conference Carolinas Basketball Championships will be held in Spartanburg on Sunday, March 8, 2020.

Currently ranked 10th nationally, Belmont Abbey is the No. 1 seed in the 2020 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship. The Conference Carolinas regular season champions closed out their regular season in the midst of a 16-game winning streak. Belmont Abbey was 26-2 overall during the regular season. They were 20-1 in league play.

Barton is the second seed in the conference championship. They will play host to North Greenville in the quarterfinals.

Defending tournament champion Emmanuel picked up the third seed in the championship. They will host King in the quarterfinals.

Limestone is the fourth seed in the championship and they will play host to fifth-seeded Mount Olive in the quarterfinals.
